This guided walk takes you from Takijiri-oji, the traditional gateway to the Nakahechi Route of the Kumano Kodo, to Takahara Kumano-jinja Shrine. It is an ideal introduction for first-time visitors to the Kumano Kodo.
As you walk along this UNESCO World Heritage pilgrimage route, your licensed guide will share fascinating stories about Kumano's history, spiritual traditions, pilgrimage culture and the surrounding natural environment, allowing you to experience the true charm of the Kumano Kodo beyond what you would discover on your own.

Meet at Takijiri Bus Stop after arriving by route bus from Kii-Tanabe Station (bound for Hongu Taisha or Hosshinmon-oji).
Guided walk from Takijiri to Takahara.
Tour ends at your accommodation in Takahara or at Kurisugawa Bus Stop.
